Dr. Prasida Khanal (Chief Executive)
Dr. Prasida Khanal is a global public health practitioner and a dentist with a diverse professional and volunteer experience in health as well as humanitarian endeavors. She is a recipient of the “United Nations Volunteer Award 2013” and the UN Women- Knowledge Gateway “Community Champion for Women’s Economic Empowerment 2013 and 2014” recognition. Mr. Prakash Budha Magar (Research Officer)
Mr. Budha Magar is a Policy and Research Analyst who has worked in the development sector for more than six years, mostly as a researcher, but also as a practitioner. He is a recipient of the Open Society Foundation Scholarship Award for 2013/2014, for studying MA in Human Rights and Cultural Diversity from the University of Essex , in the UK. Ar. Sandip Dotel ( Associate Urban Designer)
Ar. Sandip Dotel is an architect. He studied architecture at IOE, Pulchwok Campus, with a mission to plan, design and develop Nepalese cities as a sustainable city. As an architect, he has worked in several big scale projects related to design andarchitecture. He is studying Masters in Climate change and sustainable development at IOE, Pulchwok Campus. He says “an architect should not only make a quality design but also make a quality change in the life of city and people”. He also served as President of Youth UNESCO Centre and led social initiatives.
He is interested in designing green cities, in particular energy efficient and climate resilient cities. So, he joined Green Institute for better urban planning and design. At Green Institute, he works as an Associate Urban Designer and also coordinates the school of planning & design.
Mr. Nivesh Dugar ( Technical Associate-Green Cities)
Mr. Nivesh Dugar is an environmental engineer graduated from Kathmandu University in 2015. Prior and after his graduation, he has been working in the sector of WASH and solid waste management. During his Bachelors study, he was involved in one of the campaigns of Team for Nature and Wildlife (TNW)-“Kathmandu Cycle City-2020 campaign” from 2009 and in the NGO “Cycle City Network Nepal” from 2013. Being an environmental engineer as well as being associated with Cycle City, he is more interested in green buildings and green cities. He also worked as a SWM officer in Solid Waste Management Technical Centre.
On behalf of the Green Institute, he took 3 weeks’ “Green Cities for Eco-efficiency course” in April 2018 at IHS, Netherlands. He wants to use his knowledge, skill and expertise for the development of green cities in Nepal. So, he joined the Green Institute and has been working as a Technical Associate for green city development.
